Prosonix (Oxford, UK) is pleased to announce that it has achieved accreditation to the Quality Management standard ISO 9001:2008 following a recent audit of business systems and procedures by independent external auditors SGS (UK) Ltd.

This covers Prosonix full range of activities from the Research and Development of ultrasonic particle engineering solutions for crystallisation and formulation problems, to the licensing of its proprietary technology for the controlled production of advanced, highly engineered crystalline pharmaceutical materials.

The approval also underpins Prosonix progression following a substantial investment in staff and facilities at Oxford Science Park to meet rapidly growing demand for its products and services.

Commenting on the achievement, David Hipkiss Prosonix CEO said: "This is an excellent outcome for Prosonix, and is the result of many months hard teamwork by all of the Oxford based staff.  The achievement of ISO 9001 certification is an important stepping stone towards the Company's objective of being capable of providing products manufactured to current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) to the world's leading pharmaceutical companies within the next year, and in particular meeting their complex needs for their advanced inhalation products of the future."
