Prosonix has announced that it has entered into a multi-product co-development and licensing agreement with Trimel Biopharma (a subsidiary of Trimel Biopharma Holdings -Barbados) in order to collaborate in combining Prosonix' particle engineering technology and leadership with Trimel's award winning unit dose, single use, disposable dry powder inhaler technology. Prosonix' proprietary particle engineering technologies deliver unique, crystalline, excipient free, highly performing, stable drug particles that offer significant and distinct and quantifiable advantages over current industry practice, eliminating variability in drug product and formulation performance with respect to delivered dose, dose content uniformity, dose-to-dose variation, and shelf life.
Trimel's TriVairTM proprietary device technology is focused on the delivery of pharmaceutical compounds through pulmonary inhalation and nasal dispersion systems that utilize unique patent protected dosing technologies. These technologies are applicable to numerous pharmaceutical compounds and are suitable for multiple indications.
